6th August 2024 – Eluned Morgan Welsh First Minister
🔴 ELUNED MORGAN WELSH FIRST MINISTER
The new First Minister Eluned Morgan has become the first female First Minister of Wales.
Eluned’s election is a significant and proud moment for Wales as a nation. As a feminist myself I am delighted that the highest glass ceiling in Welsh politics has been broken. There is more to do.
The new First Minister will now dedicate herself to focussing on the people of Wales’s priorities. The two key areas of Welsh devolution are health and education. The Labour Party created the National Health Service in 1948. Working with the newly elected U.K. Labour Government in Westminster it is vital that health services in Wales are improved.
